Welcome!!

Hi.  I am Anne Wade-Hornsby....happy that you have chosen to enhance your equestrian experiences at Old School Farms.  I have been working with and training riders and horses in California since 1962.  I began Gunther's Equestrian Schooling in 1976, on the corner of Madison Street and Victoria, in Riverside, California.  I moved in 1993, with a change of last name (and marital status!) to Wade-Hornsby, and a change in riding school/training location, to 1807 St. Lawrence St., also in Riverside Caliifornia.  My students have gone on to top awards, top equestrian management positions, trainers in their own right, and made me very proud of them.  My greatest joy comes when I see riders I am training/have trained achieve the connection, satisfaction, competence, to be successful in their chosen equestrian discipline. I have competed and won in Jumpers, 3-Day, Hunters, Dressage, Endurance, Driving, and Barrel Racing, at local and State levels, and have competed internationally.  I have trained horses to accomplish these, as well.  The good training, obedience, and well-being of my horses, as well as my students, are my top priorities.  My motto, and my guiding idea is "Disciplined Riding for the Fun of It". CONTACT ME at 909-370-1342.  Happy Trails!!  Continue reading below:  you can meet ALL your equestrian priorities here.....

BUT WAIT!! THERE'S MORE!!! You can take Western lessons with our own Nina Leonard, a gymkhana and Xtreme Cowboy champion, Nina specializes in bringing beginner riders along and improving the skills of riders who want to be technically correct and COMPETITATIVE. You can BOARD your horse(s) here, too. We have arenas, rings, trails, and fantastic oversight for the horses. Bill Murray, the ranch owner, LIVES here and is available 24/7. The people are wonderful, the corrals are BIG and sheltered. We are smack in the middle of the Greenbelt in Riverside. It does not get much better: reasonable rates, highly qualified instructors, a complete selection of arenas, rings and trails, for ALL disciplines, and a truly welcoming atmosphere that you and your horse(s) will love.

Local competitions - TLC, Pepperglen Farms, in Norco, for example, as well as American Endurance Ride Conference endurance rides, and American Driving Society (ADS) information and dates are posted monthly in Happy Hoofbeats, the monthly newsletter, and on the bulletin board at the riding stables.  3-Day Events and ranch retreats/activities are posted as well. Several local riding clubs, like Greater Lake Mathews Trail Riders Association, (GLMTRA) are organizations that offer comraderie and informative discussions on a monthly basis. Periodic mountain escapes to Wildhorse, in the San Gorgonio area, as well as organized trail rides, are enjoyed by students and friends.  Let me know if you want to be put on the email list to get Happy Hoofbeats.  Feel free to leave messages on my blog...they will be returned.

As I become more adept at getting photos to this site, you are going to see some great ones!  Anne

This is a work in progress.
